Dates confirmed for governing body meetings

Clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) in Sefton have confirmed the dates of their next governing body meetings.

NHS South Sefton CCG will now hold its second meeting of the year on meeting Thursday 1 March. The NHS Southport and Formby CCG meeting will take place the following week on Wednesday 7 March.

The meetings are open to members of the public who may be interested in listening to doctors, nurses and other health professionals discussing the performance of local health services, such as hospitals and community care. Attendees may also be able to ask questions before the meeting formally starts.

Dr Craig Gillespie, local GP and NHS South Sefton CCG interim chair, said: “We always welcome anyone who wants to know more about their local NHS to come along and participate in the meetings.”

Dr Rob Caudwell, local GP and NHS Southport and Formby CCG chair, said: “These meetings are a great way to find out more about what’s happening locally and it’s always nice to meet residents who take an interest in local services.”
