Final call for views about community services

Wednesday, April 27, 2016

We are encouraging south Sefton residents to make sure they tell us about their experiences of community services before the 1 May 2016.

Community services is the collective name for a wide range of healthcare that is often delivered in clinics and other community venues and sometimes in people's homes.

We have a vision for all future healthcare and community services plays an important role in that. In the future, we would like as much care as possible to be provided closer to people's homes whenever it is appropriate.

We know from speaking to our residents that this is what they would like too. This is why community services is one of our 'blueprint' areas that we would like to transform so they are better organised, managed and run.

Since January 2016, we have been out and about across the area encouraging people to tell us what they think about community services.

As well as attending a range of meetings, forums and events to gain views, we have also been encouraging south Sefton residents to complete our online survey.

The survey closes on 30 April 2016, when we will begin to collate all the information we have received so far and feed it into the next phase of our community services development programme.

Whilst our survey is closing, we continue to encourage people to share their experiences of community health and all other local health services on an ongoing basis. This helps us to ensure that the services we commission continually meet the standards that we and our patients expect of them.

So, anyone who would like to tell us about their experience of using community services after the 1 May can do so by completing an easy online form that will be available from this date.
