Primary Care Commissioning Committee

We hold our Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) meetings jointly with NHS South Sefton CCG.

Our PCCC is a committee of the Governing Body and it has delegated decision making powers that are set out in our CCG constitution. The constitution also describes the committee’s functions and membership, which includes Healthwatch Sefton.

The PCCC is responsible for planning primary medical services that respond to local needs, as well as reviewing and improving general practice to ensure it represents the best possible quality our budgets allow.

Just like our Governing Bodies, we hold these formal meetings in public. We have been doing this since taking on fully delegated commissioning responsibilities from NHS England on 1 April 2019.

We welcome anyone with an interest in local healthcare to come along and listen to the discussions and decisions about primary care in Sefton.

There is a chance for people to have their questions answered ahead of the start of the formal meeting. You can do this by submitting questions in advance by email to southsefton.ccg@nhs.net.

If you would like to attend please contact 0151 317 8456
