Primary Care Commissioning Committee

We hold our Primary Care Commissioning Committee (PCCC) meetings jointly with NHS Southport and Formby CCG.

Our PCCC is a committee of the Governing Body and it has delegated decision making powers that are set out in our CCG constitution. The constitution also describes the committee’s functions and membership, which includes Healthwatch Sefton.

The PCCC is responsible for planning primary medical services that respond to local needs, as well as reviewing and improving general practice to ensure it represents the best possible quality our budgets allow.

Meetings during the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic

To help us respond to the coronavirus we are moving all meetings that we hold in public to teleconferences for the foreseeable future. This also applies to our regular operational internal meetings in line with national guidance to ensure our staff are supported to work remotely. Whilst members of the public are currently unable to observe these meetings due to these essential changes, we will continue to publish papers as normal.
