Health and wellbeing during the coronavirus pandemic


It is just as important as ever to look after your physical and mental health during the coronavirus pandemic, particularly if you find yourself feeling worried or anxious. There are a range of local and national services that are here to help you during this time.

Access Sefton

Access Sefton provides free, confidential NHS treatment for anxiety, depression, and other common mental health conditions. The service is available to anyone aged 16+ and registered with a Sefton* GP. 

Currently all assessments and therapy sessions are taking place over the phone or via an online service. Find out more about the service and make an online referral at www.insighthealthcare.org/accesssefton or by calling 0300 303 2708.

Living Well Sefton

Living Well Sefton is a free service which provides support for people in areas including mental health, stopping smoking, eating healthily, exercise and more.

The service is currently offering health and wellbeing support, information and mentoring via phone and email while group sessions and face-to-face activities are on hold. Plans are also in place to set up virtual groups for those who are self isolating. Find out more at: http://www.livingwellsefton.org.uk/

Smokefree Sefton

The Smokefree Sefton service, which is part of Living Well Sefton, is offering telephone support for anyone interested in stopping smoking. This is an ideal time to consider quitting, as smokers are at a greater risk of developing respiratory illness. To arrange a consultation, call 0300 100 1000.

 

Every Mind Matters

Every Mind Matters is a mental health and wellbeing website created by Public Health England and approved by the NHS. A specific coronavirus advice centre has been developed with simple and practical advice on how to deal with stress and anxiety, boosting your mood and sleeping better during this time.
