Do you remember when Red Rum won the Grand National for a historic third time in 1977?

If you do, and have other favourite recollections from the world famous steeplechase, then a new men’s group where the focus is on recalling great sporting moments is looking for someone just like you.

Steven Richards, a Living Well Sefton mentor with the May Logan Centre, is co-ordinating the group and explains: “Our brand new sports group allows men to reconnect through reliving and discussing some of their favourite moments from sport. Key sporting moments can bring back wonderful memories, allowing you to regain that feel-good factor.”

The group’s first meet is on Thursday, 5 April at the May Logan Centre in Bootle which is a week before the Aintree races start and it has the Grand National as its theme. Steven says: “We are encouraging men to come along from 1.30pm and talk about what the Grand National means to them.”
