Public invited to governing body meetings

Members of the public who are interested in learning more about health commissioning across Sefton are welcome attend governing body meetings next month.

The next meetings for NHS South Sefton Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and NHS Southport and Formby CCG take place in September, with doctors, nurses and other health professionals discussing the performance of local health services, such as hospitals and community care.

NHS Southport and Formby CCG will meet on Wednesday 5 September and NHS South Sefton CCG's meeting takes place the following day on Thursday 6 September.

Dr Craig Gillespie, local GP and NHS South Sefton CCG acting chair, said: “We are always pleased to welcome local people to our governing body meetings as it’s important that the public are part of the decisions we make.”

Dr Rob Caudwell, local GP and NHS Southport and Formby CCG chair, added: “Anyone who wants to know more about health services in our area is encouraged to come and listen to our discussions.”

NHS Southport and Formby CCG’s governing body meeting will take place on Wednesday 5 September at the Family Life Centre, Ash Street, Southport at 1pm. Papers will be available online beforehand here

NHS South Sefton CCG’s governing body meeting will take place on Thursday 6 September at Merton House, Stanley Road in Bootle at 1pm. Papers will be available online beforehand here.
