Rock and roll charity afternoon in Bootle

Tuesday, May 10, 2016

Sefton Older Persons Enabling Resource and Action (O.P.E.R.A) is hosting a rock and roll charity afternoon on Monday 4 July at Bootle Cricket Club.

The afternoon will give you a chance to get your dancing shoes on and help raise money for an excellent organisation.

As a borough-wide organisation, Sefton O.P.E.R.A go into the community with 5 pamper teams, 2 bands, 2 chair exercise trainers plus volunteers as well as providing regular inhouse activities like computer drop ins, knitting groups, and the 'Men Behaving Brilliantly' group to name a few.

Without social interaction many older people would suffer from social isolation which can lead to a number of more serious medical conditions. Sefton O.P.E.R.A. aim to improve the quality of life of older people in Sefton and this fundraising event will go towards the volunteer costs incurred to deliver our many services.
