What is provided

Talking Matters Sefton (TMS), is part of the national Improving Access to Psychological Therapies (IAPT) programme and provides access to psychological therapies, often known as talking therapies.

Talking Matters Sefton is a free, confidential service designed to help residents of South Sefton, Southport and Formby, aged over 16, to deal with common mental health difficulties. These may include depression, anxiety, panic, phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) or post-traumatic stress disorder.

  • Brief intervention signposting and support

When and how it is accessed – Anyone needing support with making positive lifestyle changes can contact the team using the details above. People can also self-refer via the website www.livingwellsefton.co.uk where there is also the 'Your Lifestyle Assistant' facility for people to keep track of their own progress

What is provided - Health and wellbeing support, as well as mentoring, over the telephone

 

Sean’s Place – Men’s Mental Health Support in Sefton

When and how it is accessed: 

No formal diagnosis is needed to attend. To join members can complete a referral form available on our website or ask their health professional to make a referral on their behalf. The service is also open evenings and weekends to support those who work and cannot access 9-5 support. 

What is provided:

Sean’s Place is a men's mental health and wellbeing organisation who support men struggling with anxiety, depression, stress and isolation across Sefton.
