PC24 new out of hours contract mobilisation update

Wednesday, December 16, 2020

PC24 has been chosen to deliver the new five year out of hours contract for the North and Mid Mersey, which means in addition to delivering out of hours provision in Liverpool, Knowsley, St Helens and Halton, the service will now include Southport and Formby, south Sefton and Warrington.

Originally the new contract was due to commence from 1 October 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic this was delayed until 1 April 2021.

At present the work on the mobilisation is continuing at pace with the PC24 internal board and project management team putting in place detailed plans and procedures to ensure a smooth transition.

PC24 chief executive officer Dr Mary Ryan said: "We are delighted to have been chosen to deliver the out of hours provision in Southport and Formby, south Sefton and Warrington and we really look forward to welcoming them to the PC24 family.

"I would also like to reassure patients that there will be no change in the high quality patient centred care they currently receive.

"We look forward to updating you again on progress as the mobilisation date moves closer
